Russian banks to halt dubious transactions on cards for 2 days
MOSCOW, Sep 26 (PRIME) -- Russian banks have received a right to suspend dubious transactions on cards for up to two working days starting from Wednesday.
If a client does not confirm authenticity of the transaction, the bank will have to inform the central bank about it.
In June, President Vladimir Putin signed a bill on fighting embezzlement of funds from bank cards. The law fixes the operator’s right to suspend the execution of an operation for a period of no more than two working days in case the operation corresponds to signs of money transfer without the client’s consent.
